Professor Yasuhiro Uozumi is the Synlett Editor, the journal of Thieme Publishing Group, and the professor of Institute for Molecular Science. His research is mainly focused on Development of Heterogeneous Catalysis toward Ideal Chemical Processes. He got his PHD from Hokkaido University in 1990. Before his current position, Professor Uozumi has worked in Columbia University, Kyoto University, Nagoya City University, RIKEN,etc. He has over 170 publications in JACS, Angewandte Chemie, ACS Catalysis, Chemistry a European Journal, etc.
報(bào)告簡(jiǎn)介:
A series of amphiphilic polystyrene-poly(ethylene glycol) (PS-PEG) resin-supported transition metal catalysts were developed with a view towards use in catalysis in an aqueous environment under heterogeneous conditions. Various C-C bond forming reactions, hydrogenation of C=C, C=N, and C=O double bonds, and the aerobic oxidation of a wide variety of alcohols were achieved with the amphiphilic polymeric catalysts in water, to realize highly environmentally-friendly organic molecular transformations.
